Manufacturers’ Association of South Central Pennsylvania Announces October 26 Webinar on Navigating the Competitive Electricity Market
YORK, Pennsylvania, October 15, 2010 – The Manufacturers’ Association of South Central Pennsylvania (MASCPA) announced an October 26 webinar designed to help its members better understand and manage the changes that accompany a competitive electricity marketplace.
The one-hour event, which is the final webinar in a three-part series, is scheduled for 10 a.m. It will feature David Braun and Todd Christ of GDF SUEZ Energy Resources NA, which MASCPA selected in May to provide competitive electric services to its members as part of the association’s Power Purchase Program.
“We understand that the more our members know about the deregulated marketplace, the better able they’ll be to make the best possible energy decisions for their business,” said Michael Smeltzer, MASCPA executive director. “This webinar will provide information and insight to help them answer the questions and take advantage of the opportunities that come with deregulation.”
Braun, Regional Vice President of Sales for the PJM region for GDF SUEZ Energy Resources, added, “We are dedicated not only to serving the Pennsylvania market, but also to providing MASCPA members and other Pennsylvania businesses with the tools, resources and knowledge they need to navigate the changes and challenges of the market. Webinars like this are at the heart of our commitment to being a leader in customer education.”
Under the Power Purchase Program, MASCPA members aggregate their electricity buying power to get more from their money. The program pools members’ electricity loads to deliver competitively priced power and enables them to choose from GDF SUEZ Energy Resources’ portfolio of products and services, including energy efficiency programs and demand response products. It also offers a range of additional benefits that are exclusive to MASCPA members.
